Research Team

The CERSO is a sub-section of the THEMA laboratory, UMR 6049 ­ CNRS

The CERSO team is composed of on professor, 5 senior lecturers (including one associate at the University of Caen), as well as six beneficiary doctorate students.
The CERSO is the fruit of the convergence of common interest and goals based on :
- complementary themes (sports, land planning, territorial intelligence)
- methodological needs (systemic approach, structuring data bases, territorial information systems... )

CERSO carries out not only basic research, but also applies this research in practice, in close collaboration with the university, and also with a wide range of other institutional partners (locally, with leagues in the region of Franche-Comté, at the level of the Department with the Departemental administration for Youth and Sport in the Jura, and at international level with the International Olympic Committee).

This collaboration has brought about development of specific tools, original processes and a rich and varied scientific output.
